Agesilaus II

Agesilaus II was a Eurypontid king of Sparta during the late fifth and early fourth centuries BCE. He was a central military and political figure during the period of Spartan hegemony after the Peloponnesian War. Ancient historians describe his leadership in campaigns across Greece and Asia Minor.
