Quotes by Mother Teresa
-
Humility is truth, therefore in all sincerity we must be able to look up and say, I can do all things in Him who strengthens me. By yourself you can do nothing, have nothing but sin, weakness and misery. All the gifts of nature and grace you have them from God.

How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers. ~ Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Read quote -
I used to pray that God would feed the hungry, or do this or that, but now I pray that he will guide me to do whatever I'm supposed to do, what I can do. I used to pray for answers, but now I'm praying for strength. I used to believe that prayer changes things, but now I know that prayer changes us and we change things.

Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.

I think it is very good when people suffer. To me that is like the kiss of Jesus.
Read quote -
Do we know our poor people? Do we know the poor in our house, in our family? Perhaps they are not hungry for a piece of bread. Perhaps our children, husband, wife, are not hungry, or naked, or dispossessed, but are you sure there is no one there who feels unwanted, deprived of affection?
Read quote -
I held the Host with two fingers and thought: How small Jesus made Himself, in order to show us that He doesn't expect great things of us, but rather little things with great love.
