Franz Liszt was a Hungarian composer, pianist, conductor, and teacher of the Romantic era. Born in 1811, he became one of the most celebrated virtuoso pianists of the nineteenth century and an influential figure in modern harmonic language. He died in Bayreuth on 1886-07-31.
