The ego is our pain, but it is what we know and we resist moving out of it.  The effort it takes to grow out of painful patterns often feels more uncomfortable than remaining within them.  Personal growth can be so painful because it can make us ashamed and humiliated to face our own darkness.   But the goal of personal growth is the journey out of dark emotional patterns which cause us pain to those which cause us peace.

I have not yet spoken my last word about women. I believe that if a woman succeeds in withdrawing from the mass, or rather raising herself from above the mass, she grows ceaselessly and more than a man.

Taking responsibility for oneself is by definition an act of kindness.

Nothing can be delicious when you are holding your breath.

We learn from conflicts only when we are willing to do so.

Be open to the possibility that there are other paths available to you in relating to yourself and to another.

When a reader enters the pages of a book of poetry, he or she enters a world where dreams transform the past into knowledge made applicable to the present, and where visions shape the present into extraordinary possibilities for the future.

For the future, I shall rely only upon those elements of my character which I have tested. Who would ever have said that I should find pleasure in shedding tears? That I should love the man who proves to me that I am nothing more than a fool?

We could never learn to be brave and patient if there were only joy in the world

Yes, I decided, a man can truly change. The events of the past year have taught me much about myself, and a few universal truths. I learned, for instance, that while wounds can be inflicted easily upon those we love, it's often much more difficult to heal them. Yet the process of healing those wounds provided the richest experience of my life, leading me to believe that while I've often overestimated what I could accomplish in a day, I had underestimated what I could do in a year. But most of all, I learned that it's possible for two people to fall in love all over again, even when there's been a lifetime of disappointment between them.

Always grow with changes and not against them.

Start small and keep going.

Devote yourself to reading.

When you overcome the difficulties of life, you develop an inner strength

May you find grace to survive life difficulties.

Be good to your sacred self. Love life.

Life is game. Never fear to play the game.

The greatest self are self-improvement, self-development and self-discovery.

What the edge of Truth cuts, the edge of Grace mends.

Your mornings are very powerful. Be careful with them.
